Terms of Use

These terms set out what you can expect from LexForge and what we expect from you when you use this site or ask us to prepare documents. They apply from the moment you first get in touch, and they stay in place until either side ends the arrangement. Please read them alongside our privacy policy, which covers how we handle personal information.

What we provide

LexForge prepares and reviews legal documents, explains how a clause or notice is likely to be read, and helps you organise the facts before you decide on a next step. We work on contract drafting and review, business formation and compliance basics, demand and cease-and-desist letters, and policy or terms drafting. Everything we produce is general legal information and document support prepared for your stated situation. It is not a court filing service, it is not representation before a tribunal, and it does not replace advice from a solicitor or attorney qualified in your jurisdiction. Where a matter needs court representation or regulated advocacy, we will say so and point you toward the right route.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate and complete information, including the full background, the correct names of the parties, and any deadlines or notices you have already received. Documents are only as reliable as the facts behind them, so if something changes after you send it, tell us before you sign or serve anything. You are responsible for reviewing each draft before use, for confirming that the names, dates, amounts, and addresses are right, and for deciding whether to act on it. You also agree not to use our work for anything unlawful, to misrepresent who you are, or to send correspondence that you know to be false.

Limits on our responsibility

We prepare documents and explanations with reasonable care, but we cannot promise a particular outcome. A landlord may still withhold a deposit, a counterparty may still refuse to negotiate, and a regulator may still reach its own view. To the extent the law allows, LexForge is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses that follow from information you did not share with us. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If a claim does arise, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the specific piece of work in question.

Ending the arrangement

You can stop working with us at any time by writing to the contact address below. We may also end the arrangement if a request falls outside what we can properly handle, if we cannot obtain the information needed to proceed, or if continuing would put us in conflict with our professional obligations. When the arrangement ends, you keep the drafts and final documents already delivered to you, and you remain responsible for any deadline that is still running. Any obligation that by its nature should survive, such as confidentiality or the limits on our responsibility, continues to apply afterwards.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the way we work changes or when the law requires it. The version published on this page is the one that applies to new enquiries from the date it appears. If a change would materially affect work already underway, we will tell you directly before it takes effect, and you can decide whether to continue. Continuing to use the site or to send us new instructions after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Questions about these terms

You can also send post to 413 Reynolds Cove, Courtneymouth, GU16 6EL. We read every message and aim to reply with a clear answer rather than a holding note.
